After pitching in a rehab start for Class A Potomac on Tuesday, Jason Marquis woke up this morning with elbow stiffness. He will undergo an operation on Friday to remove any fragments from his elbow. Marquis suspects he'll be sidelined until August, but it's possible he could be back on a mound in 4 to 6 weeks.
Ian Kinsler was 2-4 with 1 BB, 1 double (his 4th), 1 RBI, and 2 runs scored against the A's.
Kevin Youkilis was 1-3 with 1 BB and 1 run scored against the Blue Jays.
Scott Schoeneweis pitched 1/3 of an inning on 1 K against the Blue Jays.
