Batting leadoff, Ian Kinsler was 1-2 with 1 BB, 1 sacrifice bunt, 1 double (his 9th), 2 runs scored, and 1 SB (his 5th) against the Mariners.
Batting 7th, Danny Valencia was 1-3 with 1 double (his 4th) against the White Sox. Valencia made this nice play in the 7th inning to preserve Francisco Liriano's no-no. Strong arm.
Kevin Youkilis was a late scratch against the Angels due to an undisclosed illness.
Craig Breslow pitched 1/3 of an inning against the Indians.

I'm Jewish. I love Ryan Braun. But I'm also a Cardinals fan, and there's no way Braun deserved NL Player of the Month over Lance Berkman. With Albert Pujols' mind who knows where, Berkman is the reason the Cardinals, not the Brewers, are in first place. If you post on Braun's award, can you compare his April numbers to Berkman, Holliday, Either, Fielder, etc.?
I think it's close. If we include March (1 game) for everyone, Braun's line looks like this:

Berkman's line:

Holliday's numbers are very nice as well, but he missed about 1/3 of April, so he's out of the running.

Ethier's line:

A case could definitely be made for Berkman. I can see where you're coming from.
