Batting cleanup, Kevin Youkilis was 2-3 with 1 BB, 1 HBP, and 1 run scored against the Cubs. Youk is now the Red Sox all-time leader in HBP. He surpassed Mo Vaughn.
Batting 3rd, Ian Kinsler was 1-4 with 1 SB (his 9th) against the Phillies.
Batting 3rd, Ryan Braun was 1-4 against the Rockies. He was caught stealing for the 1st time all season.
Batting leadoff, Sam Fuld was 0-3 against the Marlins.
Craig Breslow pitched 1 scoreless inning on 2 Ks against the Giants. Good to see him get a clean inning. They've been hard to come by this season, but he has 2 of them in his last 3 outings.

Jewish minor leaguer Ben Guez is having a fine year thus far- moved up to AAA after doing wonderfully at AA. However, based only on his stats, he may just be setting some sort of record as the worst Jewish base runner ever:

Didn't realize Guez was doing so well. One would hope he would get called up at some point this season. But yeah, 9 CS, 0 SB. They should probably stop giving him the green light.
Hi Josh-
This is obviously just a guess, but maybe he's getting picked off on some of these. Or maybe his manager likes to hit and run but the next guys just can't make contact. I hope so. I mean, the idea that he's been thrown out stealing nine times- by minor league catchers (albeit at the AAA level) without one success is almost too horrifying to even consider.
Regards, Jeff
