A Pinch Hit See-Ya-Later From Braun

Ryan Braun was supposed to have the day off, but with his team trailing the Marlins 4-5 in the 9th inning, he made a pinch hit appearance. And he hit a 2-run shot to win the game for the Brew Crew! Braun was 1-1 with 1 HR (his 13th), 2 RBIs, and 1 run scored. It was Braun's 1st career pinch hit HR, his 1st long ball since May 15, and it couldn't have come at a better time.

Batting cleanup, Kevin Youkilis was 2-3 with 1 BB, 1 HBP, 1 double (his 15th), and 3 runs scored against the A's.

Batting 5th, Danny Valencia was 1-4 against the Royals.

Batting leadoff, Ian Kinsler was 0-4 with 2 BBs and 2 runs scored against the Indians.

Craig Breslow picked up his 4th hold of the season. He pitched 1 scoreless inning against the Red Sox.

John Grabow pitched 1 scoreless inning against the Cardinals. I believe this is the 1st time all season that Breslow and Grabow have each pitched clean innings on the same day.
