Batting cleanup, Kevin Youkilis was 0-4 against the A's.
Batting 9th, Sam Fuld was 0-4 against the Mariners.
Jason Marquis received a no decision against the Diamondbacks. He pitched 5 1/3 scoreless innings on 3 hits, 3 BBs, and 4 Ks. Marquis was ejected in the 6th inning for hitting Justin Upton after Jayson Werth had previously been hit by a pitch. It should be noted that Werth had been plunked twice earlier in the series as well. Seems like Marquis was just protecting his teammate.
