Meet The Newest JML

It would appear that Twins' 3B prospect, Danny Valencia, is Jewish. Valencia was drafted in the 19th round in 2006 and is 25 years old. Oddly enough, he was teammates with Ryan Braun at the University of Miami in 2005. Baseball America has the rookie ranked as the 6th top prospect in the Twins' organization. He made his MLB debut on June 3.

Tonight, Valencia was 2-2 with 1 BB and 1 RBI against the Rays. His RBI-single in the 7th inning was ultimately the game-winner. Pretty sweet way to introduce this guy, huh?

Ian Kinsler was 1-2 with 2 BBs, 1 run scored, and 1 SB (his 8th) against the White Sox.

Ike Davis was 0-3 with 1 BB, 1 RBI, and 1 run scored against the Nationals.

Kevin Youkilis was 1-3 against the Orioles.

Ryan Braun was 1-4 against the Cardinals.

Craig Breslow picked up his 8th hold of the season. He pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings on 3 Ks against the Indians. His ERA is 2.70. His WHIP is 0.95. His 4.9 H/9, 9.3 K/9, and 2.53 K/BB ratio are well above his career marks.
