Ian Kinsler was placed on the 15-day DL, retroactive to July 28, with a strained left groin. The Rangers' GM said Kinsler will likely return in "mid-to-late-August."
Batting cleanup, Ike Davis was 1-4 with 1 HR (his 15th), 3 RBIs, and 1 run scored against the Cardinals.
Brad Ausmus was 1-2 with 1 BB against the Padres.
Gabe Kapler was 0-3 against the Tigers.

I'm still waiting for Ike to get hot. Yeah, he'll get a hit a game, but he's really better than how he's playing.
