Ian Kinsler can breathe a sigh of relief. His pursuit of a 30/30 season reached a conclusion tonight with a blast to left field off an offering from Grant Balfour. Batting 6th, Kinsler was 1-2 with 2 BBs, 1 HR (his 30th), 3 RBIs, and 2 runs scored against the Rays.
Kinsler joins Shawn Green as the only 2 JMLs with 30/30 seasons. Kinsler also joins Alfonso Soriano and Brandon Phillips as the only second basemen in MLB history with 30/30 seasons.
