Feldman Stops The Bleeding

Scott Feldman picked up his 17th win of the year against the Angels. Feldman pitched 6 2/3 innings and gave up 2 runs on 4 hits, 1 BB, and 4 Ks. It was a big win for the Rangers, as they had lost their last 5 coming into today's action.

Feldman has just 3 starts left in the regular season, which means he'll have to win all 3 games to become a 20-game winner.
A tall order, to be sure. Feldman does have one thing going for him, though; all 3 games will be on the road where Feldman is 12-1 with a 2.58 ERA. His WHIP is 1.21. His ERA is 3.62. And he's gunning for 20.

Ryan Braun was 3-5 with 1 RBI and 1 run scored against the Astros.

Kevin Youkilis was 1-5 with 1 BB, 1 RBI, and 2 runs scored against the Orioles.

Batting 6th, Ian Kinsler was 1-3 with 1 SB (his 29th) against the Angels.

Gabe Kapler was 2-3 with 1 RBI against the Blue Jays.

Sam Fuld pinch ran for Micah Hoffpauir and scored the Cubs' lone run against the Cardinals.

Scott Schoeneweis pitched 1/3 of an inning and gave up 1 run on 1 hit against the Rockies.

All three on the road eh? Wow. Tough for the Rangers but good for Feldman. I sure would love to see him get there.

Kinsler hasn't hit a homer in a month, has he? Man, he's making this a tough wait.
