Braun All Smiles As He Hits 100

The wait is over. Michael Jordan was inducted into the Hall of Fame, Derek Jeter passed Lou Gehrig to become the Yankees' all-time hits leader, and Ryan Braun hit his 100th career home run tonight against the Diamondbacks.

Braun was 2-5 with 1 double (his 33rd), 1 HR (his 29th), 3 RBIs, and 2 runs scored.

Kevin Youkilis, Ian Kinsler, and Gabe Kapler didn't play today because their games were rained out.

Sam Fuld was 0-1 against the Reds. It looks like Alfonso Soriano might be shut down for the year, so one would expect Fuld to get more playing time in the coming weeks.

Scott Schoeneweis made his 1st relief appearance since coming off the DL on Monday. He pitched 1 inning of scoreless relief against the Brewers. Incidentally, one of the batters he got out was Braun.
