The Mets' Walkoff Hero

Batting cleanup, Ike Davis was 2-4 with 2 HRs (his 23rd and 24th), 2 RBIs, and 2 runs scored against the Astros. Ike's 2nd blast of the day was a walkoff HR as the Mets won by a score of 2-1. Ike provided both runs, obviously. This was his 2nd career walkoff HR.

Batting 2nd, Kevin Youkilis was 1-3 with 1 triple (his 2nd) and 1 RBI against the Mariners.

Batting leadoff, Ian Kinsler was 1-4 with 1 run scored against the Twins.

Batting 6th, Ryan Lavarnway was 1-5 with 1 run scored against the Royals.

Batting 3rd, Ryan Braun was 0-3 with 1 BB against the Pirates.

Craig Breslow picked up his 6th hold of the season (2nd with the Red Sox). He pitched 1 scoreless inning on 1 hit and 2 Ks against the Royals.

Scott Feldman picked up his 10th loss of the season. He went 5 2/3 innings and gave up 6 runs (5 earned) on 10 hits, 1 BB, and 4 Ks against the Twins. His groundball to flyball ratio was 11-5.

Jason Marquis was placed on the 15-day DL with a broken left hand after he was hit by a liner in his last start against the Pirates. Marquis broke his non-pitching hand in the 2nd inning, but he remained in the game into the 6th inning - because he's tough like that. Marquis was a having a very solid season with the Padres.
