Batting cleanup, Ike Davis was 2-4 with 1 BB, 1 HR (his 21st), 1 double (his 19th), 2 RBIs, and 2 runs scored against the Reds.
Batting 2nd, Kevin Youkilis was 1-4 with 1 run scored against the Blue Jays. He should have been 2-4, but the scorekeeper got it wrong in his 1st AB. Just saying.
Ian Kinsler had the day off against the Yankees.
Jason Marquis picked up his 11th loss of the season (7th as a Padre). He only lasted 4 2/3 innings and gave up 6 runs on 8 hits, 4 BBs (1 IBB), and 4 Ks against the Braves. Chipper Jones owns him. No shame in that, though. He owns a lot of pitchers. At the plate, Marquis was 1-2 with 1 double (his 3rd). He's hitting .290 on the season.
