Batting 3rd, Ryan Braun was 3-4 with 1 HR (his 33rd), 2 RBIs, 1 run scored, and 1 SB (his 20th) against the Phillies. This is Braun's 3rd career 30/20 season. And he still has a shot at another 30/30 season. Come to think of it, he has a shot at a 40/30 season!
Batting cleanup, Ike Davis was 2-4 with 1 HR (his 22nd), 2 RBIs, and 1 run scored against the Nationals. Ike's two-run oppo taco in the 7th inning was the game-winner for the Mets.
Batting 9th, Sam Fuld was 2-3 with 1 BB, 1 RBI, and 1 run scored against the Angels.
Batting 2nd, Kevin Youkilis was 1-4 with 1 run scored. Youk's lone hit was his 1,000th career hit. Incidentally, Braun also reached that milestone earlier this season. Youkilis would go on to score on Adam Dunn's 400th career HR. Yep, another milestone.
Batting leadoff, Ian Kinsler was 0-4 against the Blue Jays. Kinsler is slumping pretty hard right now.
Batting 6th, Ryan Lavarnway was 0-4 against the Yankees.
Craig Breslow picked up his 5th hold of the season (1st with the Red Sox). He pitched 2/3 of an inning against the Yankees.
