Feldman Shuts Down Chi Sox

Batting leadoff, Ian Kinsler was 1-5 with 1 SB (his 19th) against the White Sox.

Batting 3rd, Ryan Braun was 0-5 with 1 BB and 1 run scored against the Nationals.

Batting 2nd, Sam Fuld was 0-4 with 1 run scored against the Angels.

Batting 2nd, Kevin Youkilis was 0-4 against the Rangers.

Batting 7th, Danny Valencia was 0-4 against the Indians.

Batting cleanup, Ike Davis was 0-5 against the Diamondbacks.

Scott Feldman was brilliant, picking up his 5th win of the season. He tossed 8 shutout innings on 7 hits, 0 BBs, and 5 Ks against the White Sox. His groundball to flyball ratio was 14-8. He was also quite efficient. It only took him 88 pitches to get through 8. Sounds like he actually could have got a complete game shutout, something he's never done before. It's a shame Ron Washington didn't give a chance to do it. Youk was 0-4 against him. In his last 6 outings (1 in relief), Feldman has 5 wins.
