Marquis Beats Braun's Brewers

Batting 5th, Ike Davis was 2-3 with 1 BB, 1 double (his 4th), and 1 RBI against the Braves.

Batting 3rd in the 1st game of a doubleheader against the Nationals, Ryan Braun was 1-4 with 1 BB and 1 RBI against the Nationals. In the 2nd game, Braun was 2-4 with 1 triple (his 1st).

Batting leadoff, Sam Fuld was 2-5 against the Twins.

Batting cleanup, Kevin Youkilis was 0-3 with 1 HBP and 1 run scored against the Blue Jays.

Batting 7th, Danny Valencia was 0-3 with 1 BB against the Rays.

Batting leadoff, Ian Kinsler was 0-4 with 1 BB and 1 run scored against the Yankees.

Jason Marquis picked up his 1st win of the season. He went 7 innings and gave up 2 runs on 9 hits, 1 BB, and 4 Ks against the Brewers. His groundball to flyball ratio was 16-4. At the plate, he was 1-3 with 1 run scored. Braun was 1-3 with 1 BB against him. Marquis has started the season with 3 consecutive quality starts to go with a K/BB ratio of 15-3.

The funniest stat of the day was that by the end of Marquis day, his .283 was the highest batting average in the Nationals' line up.
