A Rarity

Everyone who is healthy played today.

Kevin Youkilis came up big again for the Red Sox. Youk homered in the 7th inning with 2 on and 2 outs, which ultimately led to the Sox beating the Orioles by 1 run. Youk was 2-4 with 1 HR (his 3rd), 3 RBIs, and 1 run scored.

Gabe Kapler was 1-3 with 1 double (his 1st) and 1 run scored against the Blue Jays.

Ryan Braun was 1-4 with 1 run scored against the Brewers.

Ike Davis was 0-2 with 1 BB and 1 run scored against the Braves.

Scott Feldman picked up his 2nd loss of the season. Feldman lasted just 3 2/3 innings and gave up 8 runs (4 earned) on 8 hits, 4 BBs, and 1 K against the Tigers. Feldman was said to have been experiencing flu-like symptoms over the last few days. Hopefully, we can chalk up this start to that.

John Grabow picked up his 3rd hold of the season. He pitched 2/3 of an inning on 1 hit and 1 BB against the Brewers.

Scott Schoeneweis pitched 2/3 of an inning on 2 hits against the Orioles.

Craig Breslow pitched 1/3 of an inning on 2 hits and 1 BB against the Indians.

Wow! They all played. Cool. Too bad about Feldman. I chalk it up to the flu too. He'll be okay.
