Bouncing Back in a Big Way

Jason Marquis' last 2 starts were nothing to write home about. In fact, they were downright awful. But tonight Marquis had it all going, as he outdueled Derek Lowe to pick up his 5th win of the season. He went 8 innings and gave up 1 run on 5 hits, 3 BBs, and 3 Ks.

Ryan Braun had himself a ball game against the Cardinals. He was 2-3 with 2 BBs, 1 double, 4 runs scored, and 1 RBI. He also made a pair of web gems in the outfield, robbing Skip Schumaker of a sure triple with a full extension catch ranging to his left and coming out of nowhere in shallow center to take one away from Jason LaRue.

Gabe Kapler was 0-2 against the Athletics.

A few days after giving up a walk-off home run to Alex Rodriguez, Craig Breslow pitched 2/3 of scoreless relief against the Bronx Bombers.

John Grabow pitched 1 inning of relief against the Nationals and gave up a run on 2 hits, 1 BB, and 1 K.

Doggonit! I shouldn't have given up on Rule #1. My apologies, Mr. Marquis, for doubting you.

You never can tell with Marquis. Inconsistency has always prevented him from being better than an innings eater.

Hello. My wife and I bought our house about 6 months ago. It was a foreclosure and we were able to get a great deal on it. We also took advantage of the 8K tax credit so that definitely helped. We did an extensive remodeling job and now I want to refinance to cut the term to a 20 or 15 year loan. Does anyone know any good sites for mortgage information? Thanks!
