Gabe Kapler was placed on the 15-day DL with a strained right hip flexor. Kapler joins fellow JMLs Brad Ausmus, Jason Marquis, and John Grabow on the DL.Ryan Braun was 2-4 with 2 doubles (his 18th and 19th) and 1 RBI against the Rangers. Braun was 1-3 against Scott Feldman.
Ian Kinsler was 2-5 with 2 runs scored against the Brewers.
Kevin Youkilis was 1-3 with 1 HBP and 2 runs scored against the Phillies.
Ike Davis was 0-4 with 1 SB (his 1st) against the Orioles.
Scott Feldman picked up his 4th win of the season. He pitched 6 scoreless innings on 4 hits, 3 BBs, and 6 Ks (a season-high) against the Brewers. Still a little wild with the 3 free passes, 1 HBP, and a wild pitch, but his outstanding groundball to flyball ratio in this game (12-1) is an encouraging sign.
Craig Breslow pitched 1 scoreless inning against the Giants.
