The Texas Rangers have avoided salary arbitration with Scott Feldman. Feldman and the Rangers agreed on a 1-year deal worth $2.425. Feldman is now signed through the 2011 season.
Feldman had been asking for $2.9 million while the Rangers offered $2.05 million. If Feldman can duplicate what he did last season, the Rangers definitely got a bargain.
I am very interested in how Feldman does this year. He became a big part of my boxscore adventures last year and I really root for him.
It's good to see the salary thing out of the way. The Rangers are probably unsure if 2009 was a fluke or the real deal though or they would have considered a long term deal to lock him up.
